How Can Inguinal Hernia With Constipation And Flatulence Be Treated?

Sir, I am 52 years old male. My height is 5feet and 6inches and weight is around 50kgs.I am vegetarian and non alcholic. Time to time I felt constipation and gas.My problem is that for 3 months I have left side direct inguinal hernia. Till now there is no pain, I feel heavyness in the affected area. I fear to go for surgery.Kindly help me. With warm regards. S.R.Goyal

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
First of all it looks that your weight is less and this may be the reason for you direct inguinal hernia as less protein intake can cause hypoproteinemia thus causing weak muscles and hernia.
Less fiber diet an cause constipation and add on for development of hernia.
Hence I would advise you the following:
High fiber diet.
Sitz bath.
Laxatives and stool softener.
High protein intake.
Get operated for hernia once constipation is corrected.
