How Can Infection Around A Surgical Wound Be Treated?

Hello I had a tubal ligation on September 2nd and the surgical wound in my belly button is completely healed but the one above the pubic line is really sensitive and it looks like the stitches are loose or undone and very painful. Also it s been oozing a whitish yellowish discharge should I get this looked at?

Hi welcome to health care magic

Yes you should consult your treating surgeon...

As swelling and yellow discharge (pus) present, you might have infected stich wound. ...

Local antibiotic cream can be applied over that...

If fever and nausea like systemic sign of bacteremia present than antibiotic course given orally

Take care

Hope this will help
