How Can Impaired Speech And Poor Social Skill In A Toddler Be Treated?
My daughter is 4 and half years old, but she has language developmental delay and social skill delay. Also, she is scared of noise. She still cannot write and draw shape. She does not interact with other kids. she does not respect personal space. she does not follow direction. I am so concerned if she has autism. but I called many places, but I am still waiting for specialist to call back. She is in IEP program, but progress is not much. What can I do for my daughter? I want her to get intervention if she is autism.
Hello there. I have read through your question and can understand your concern. Delay in development and poor social skills do indicate towrads an autistic spectrum. An autistic child will need expert language and behavioral therapy to attain her maximum potential. I would suggest you take her to a paediatrician for proper assessment. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further queries please feel free to write.
