How Can Fungal Skin Infection In The Underarms Be Treated?

I recently switched to a natural deodorant. Now, I believe that I have a fungal infection in my underarms (large, bircular burning rash) and it looks like it may be spreading to my chest. This is unsightly and uncomfortable. I am using topical Lotrimin cream and coconut oil. But I have some questions: 1. Should I avoid deodorant altogether until it clears? 2. Once cleared, what natural deodorant works best for athletes? 3. Can I take Benadryl with antifungals? 4. When should I expect to see/feel an improvement with the rash?

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your skin infection.

As per your history and experience of you, the fungal infection can be treated with the local clotrimazole 1% skin cream.

There is no need to avoid any deodorant, if it is not allergic dermatitis. Allergic dermatitis can be because of deodorant, in this case you need to avoid the deodorant with the components or composition that you are using or had used before the rash.

You must also use Telcom powder of same composition of clotrimazole 1% because athletes sweat more and wet environment is prone to fungal infection.
