How Can Fever And Appetite Loss In A Toddler Be Treated?
My 3 year old boy is suffering from mild fever(101.7 F orally taken) since 2 days. I gave him 3 doses of Ibugesic plus every 12 hours. He is otherwise normal & active. But fever & appetite loss is observed. My ped has given neo peptine syrup. enrtufugon & mac fast 125 for fever.
Generally, in a 3-year-old child, there will be a loss of appetite to a certain extent while they have a fever.
Kindly continue with the medications as prescribed by your doctor. Kindly feed the child with soft and easily digestible diet. Feed small quantities at more frequent intervals. Also, give the child good quality of water. Gradually, the child should regain appetite as the fever subsides, over a period of time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
