What Causes Persistent Fever In A Toddler?
My 2.3 years old kid is having fever since last monday...and the fever just subsided yesterday (the 5th day). Occasionally, the fever is mild (abt 37.2-37.5 ) until now (6th day). Fever is subsided again once it s given 4ml progresic. She also has serious cough, phlegm, and a bit of flu...and is taking medication for all. Afraid that the fever is up again without the medicines. Is she suspected of dengue fever?

In dengue, usually there will be some rash and severe cough is not expected. Fever with significant cough indicates an ongoing respiratory infection, which we have to evaluate with blood count and x-ray. Kindly discuss with your pediatrician.
