How Can Constant Fatigue Be Treated?

I ve been having constant fatigue even with caffeine and plenty of sleep, waking up tired. I eat healthy and exercise but lately I ve been getting skin rashes all over my upper body, like hives, my calves tingle, my right arm tingles and sometimes goes numb, I have a large lump in my right arm pit that I ve had checked by my Dr before, the swelling hasn t gone down, if anything its only getting more painful. I have a medical history of rectal polyps, hypertension in all 3 pregnancies, my mom has hypothyroidism. My Dr tested me for diabetes but I m not diabetic. I have had kidney stones while pregnant and I do have gal stones. Is it possible that my Dr is missing something? I ve looked up several things it could be: thyroid issues, lyme disease, lupus, cervical cancer (I ve had sharp acute pain where my right ovaries are in the last 30 days) and longer than normal periods. I m at a loss really, I go and see a new Dr on Monday.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Typically, no one medication can treat all of your symptoms. Also, your symptoms may change over time, so your medications may have to.

In many cases, CFS can trigger or be a part of depression, and you may need an antidepressant to combat it. If lifestyle changes don’t give you a restful night’s sleep, your doctor may suggest a sleep aid. Pain-reducing medication can also help you cope with aches and joint pain caused by CFS.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
