Does Splenectomy Cause Extreme Fatigue And Elevated Cholesterol Levels?

25 yrs post Hodgkin s Lymphoma, radiation treatment. In addition to hypothyroidism, I have extreme fatigue and have been taking beta blockers for my hr. Now my cholesterol levels are elevated and I m going through a lot of fatigue again.I m wondering what the cause of fatigue is and also just read that splenecdomy can cause lasting fatigue?

Regarding your experience with persistent fatigue following post splenectomy and post Hodgkins Lymphoma I will suggest you have developed Immunodeficiency disorder so please see your physician for clinical evaluation and expectant management

Concerning your elevated cholesterol I am very sure it is related to your hypothyroidism disorder reason it inadvertently cause increase in weight gain so in this circumstance take tablet lipitor to curb the abnormal cholesterol level
