How Can Chronic Dry Cough Due To Allergies Be Treated?

I am aged around 38 years. Frequently I use to get cold and cough. Even after taking immediate medicines in consultation with my Doctor, I use to get chronic cough mostly the dry one. My Doctors said it is allergic. What should I do ? In childhood I had a problem with my tonsilitis, but later one it was cured.

Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

I don't see any relation with your old tonsil problem. Further chronic cough needs some queries solved like - do you smoke, do you feel feverish, do you have specific allergens or conditions identified yourself, any other co-morbid conditions?

Your profession? General advise: follow proper dietary habits and respiratory hygiene.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. HIMANSHU DHANAK
