How Can Broken Ribs And Collapsed Lungs Be Treated?
My niece was recently in a car accident and she has broken ribs and was bleeding they had to drain the blood out and they inserted a breathing tube in her today they were removing the tube but her lungs collapsed can she survive from this or will she need to go through surgery again ?

A surgery at a later time may be required if there is extensive lung trauma,judgement can only be made after doing a hrct scan of her lungs
