How Can Breast Cancer Stage 4 Be Treated?

Dear Doctor,

My aunt lives in Africa and they have no specialist to treat her cancer. They assume it's stage 4. She is 71 years old and we were just given this devastating news. She is terribly upset and doesn't want to do anything. Her friend emailed me her x-ray and mammogram pictures. Could I please send them to you to confirm the state of cancer and what treatment is possible for her at this stage/age? We are totally lost and in so much distress. THank you so much.

Hello ,
thank you for your question ! Breast cancer stage IV means there are distant metastasses and sadly cannot be teated by surgery . She can undergo chemo and radiotherapy . Beside from that she will probably need blood and protein perfusions .
