Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your father.

Because he is under chemotherapy, you need to follow the instructions of the medical team, who is responsible for the treatment.

It is a common symptom or issues associated with chemotherapy, the best drug for it is odensteron (ondem), he needs to take it in consultation with the oncology team.
Also keep him hydrated with the IV fluids as much as possible.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further to ask.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
