Good Day! This is a common complaint among young men. Try eating six meals per day high in olives/olive oil/nuts and nut butters. Maintain eating a balanced diet, but increase the high calorie foods. You say you are eating high calorie foods but if you are not gaining weight you are not eating enough calories. It will take 1000 calories extra per day to gain just 2 pounds per week. Just being male means you need more calories than the females and you are fairly tall, also increasing caloric needs. To maintain 54 kg, my calculations show you cannot be taking in any more than 1600 kcals. You will need to consume 2600 calories to gain a mere kg per week. So, set realistic goals, eat small very high calorie meals by increasing portions/frequency/good fat foods and cut down on caffeine. Ifyou smoke, quitting is a virtual guarantee of gaining weight due to the effect on lipoprotein lipase. If my suggestions do not work, you might want to have your thyroid checked.
