How Can Adenomyosis Be Treated?

Hi Doctor, I ve got adenomyosis for years since 2010 (likely, can t remember exactly when) and I ve taken Visanne for about 2 weeks. I used to take Yaz but the pelvin pain didn t stop so my doctor advised me to switch o Visanne. But it brings side effects like migraine and slight depression. Which medication is better for adenomyosis? My ovary is detected to have swollen to 6.3 cm. Thanks a lot!

Hi,

You have tried conservative treatment for fibroid (adenomyosis). Since you are not improving and have continuous pelvic pain, better to go for surgical removal of the fibroid.

So consult a gynecologist and discuss surgical options. Once fibroid is removed, your pain will be alright.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
