Hello Doc, I had my embryo transfer done 2 days ago (ICSI method). Since then I have am terrible heartburn. I am unable to eat or drink anything without that terrible sensation. I am taking daily progesterone injections and other medications given by the doc. Please advise what is to be done to reduce / get rid of this heartburn. Thank you.

Hello dear,my name is dr,Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Eat smaller meals more frequently throughout the day.
-Quit smoking.
-Put blocks under the head of your bed to raise it at least 4 inches to 6 inches.
-Don't eat at least 2 to 3 hours before lying down.
- If you're overweight or obese, take steps to lose weight with exercise and diet changes.
-Try Antacids, such as Maalox, can neutralize the acid from your stomach.
-Prokinetics (Reglan) can help empty your stomach faster, and reduce acid reflux.
