How Can Acid Reflux Along With Nausea And Stomach Ache Be Treated?

I have had severe heartburn with belching and nausea almost all day long for the past month. I get severe pinching pain under my ribs on the left side. Sometimes the pain radiates discomfort around the abdomen. I was in a quad accident last month and was thrown several feet. My left side was effected the most. I am worried about my pancreas or my spleen. I had a CT scan done, but the doc had me drink barium before hand, and I heard that it could have made the pictures cloudy and unable to really see if my spleen was inflamed or had a tear. What should I do? Antacids or pain meds are not helping

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have acid reflux and is not getting improved with medications. It seems to be due to release of esophageal sphincter and excessive production of acid by stomach. Treatment of acid reflux depend upon taking medicine and mainly due to alteration in lifestyle. You should take plenty of fluids and take anaspas for stomach pain. Avoid taking outside food. Avoid spicy and heavy meal specially at night. Eat at least one hour before going to bed, take a light walk for 15-20 mins after every meal , take antacid after every meal like gelusil. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit gastroenterologist once and start treatment after complete examination.
