How Can A Painful Lump In The Vaginal Area Be Treated?

I got swollen labia majora (both sides). It s really painful as if a blade is cutting it, heavy feeling and discomfort. The lump is as big now as the thumb and it s spreading near my anus. While I was taking a bath and drying the skin I saw pus oozing out from one part. I ve been trying a lot of ointment but nothing really helps. Right now I m using clindamycin and the medicine (antibiotic and anti histamine) given by my OB. According to her it s contact dermatitis.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
According to your description better to rule out bartholin abscess once which can lead to development of swelling at labia majora and also pus discharge.
But as your gynecologist told it as contact dermatitis you can continue the treatment prescribed by her and also you can take sitz bath which will help in reducing the pain and inflammation.
Take care.
