How Can A Large Arm Lump With Radiating Pain Be Treated?
My son had blood drawn from his right arm about 2 weeks ago, since that day he has had a large lump under the skin, now tonight..he is complaining of pain moving up his right arm and into his neck...could this be a blood clot resulting from the blood he had drawn? He takes Lisinopril for high blood pressure too, he has been on this since the week after Christmas
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history about your son. There is no known case where the blood clot can present with pain in the arm radiating to the neck . But since this is happening I would advise you the following: First of all to consult a General Surgeon/Doctor to get a clinical examination to see if the problem is due to the blood clot or due to cervical spondilitis. This will help us to go for further investigations like MRI of the neck, hematological investigations if warranted and so on.
