I gave birth vaginally 2 weeks ago to a 22 week gestation baby. I have continued nausea and pain since. Was sent for a ultrasound that showed a hematoma in the uterus, I have only small brown coloured discharge when I wipe. Will I pass this heamatoma naturally?
Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment.
First of all do not panic.
Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for- A broad spectrum antibiotic containing 1.Amoxycillin and clavulinic acid 2 times a day for 5 to 7 days. 2. Tablet Methergin 3 times a day for 5 days. 3. Tablet Misoprostol 600 mcg per rectally or orally or sublingual stat.
This will help to prevent uterine infection and will help to pass out the clot.
Please continue with Iron and Calcium supplements regularly. Lying on stomach for ten minutes before food will be of help.
I hope this helps you. Thanks. Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar
