How Can A Burn Wound Infection Be Treated?

I was recently burned in a grease fire. My doctor told me I can start peeling my aquacel off as long as it doesn t hurt. Well, I peeled so much off my arm & it looks like a scab but it s raised up. Like has bubbles underneath. Would that still be a scab?

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I suggest you to leave it alone. Most likely there is a scab covering it. If so, the infection should not develop, and the wound is protected. So just keep it dry and clean and it should heal by its own.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Grzegorz Stanko
