Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

PCOD occurs when the sex hormones get out of order and body starts secreting more male hormones. The bleeding may not be associated with ovulation. However, visit a gynecologist and get her physically examined, let her get USG done to investigate whether or not she is ovulating. No worries, let her first get treated. There are many medications to help her ovulate.

It the meantime give her nutritious food and regular exercise to maintain weight is a must. Help her stay away from stress, take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Nupur K.
