Smoking is a comparatively simple substance as compared to other drugs as far as addiction is concerned but it is difficult to leave it.It is just 2 yrs old habit so you can leave it but for that there is no medicine to help you will have to do it on your own will power. So if you decide you have to stop at once and keep away from it.There are nicotine patches or gums available in market which are said to be helpful to control the addiction but it is like shifting from one addiction to another so I would not advise you ant thing other than abrupt stopping of smoking on your own will.

Cardiologist Dr. Naresh Ruparelia's  Response
Hi well come to HCM.
Self motivation is the best remedy. IN spite of reducing gradually give up
the habit at one glance and keep busy with work will help you lot.Other wise every
now and than there is tension your smoking will come to your original level. You
will have problem intialy for one or two weeks. Than you will not have much difficulty.
At times tension is the excuse to have smoking. Thanks
