How Can BP Be Lowered Without Taking Any Medicine?

My BP is high when I go to the doctors. He feels its stress related and wants me to take my presser twice a day.
I eat healthy, not a lot of salt, I exercise, I'm about 5'7" 150 lbs. I would like to lower my pressure without taken any medicine...What can I do?
Thanks you

Hi. Welcome to HCM. U have not mentioned your age and this is important to know in your case. People who are more than 35 years will most commonly suffer from essential hypertension where cause is not known. U r also i think suffering from essential hypertension. Apart from taking anti hypertensive medications life style modifications are also equally important. Few things u r already doing. Blood pressure often increases as weight increases, so lose weight if u r obese. Regular physical activity — at least 30 to 60 minutes most days of the week can lower your blood pressure by 4 to 9 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). Eat healthy diet like, eat potassium rich foods like bananas, mushrooms, fish. reduce salt intake, ct down processed foods, limit alcohol intake. By taking these measures your BP will be under control, but most of the times it will recur if u stop anti hypertensive medications. I suggest u to have regular checkups with your treating doctor before stopping medications. Regards.
