How Another Abortion Will Effect My Future Pregnancy?

Hello, I recently found out I am pregnant. I have one ovary, have previously had an abortion (prior to the one ovary) and a miscarriage (after the one ovary). Also, I have some low grade changes in my cervix. If I were to get another abortion how would that affect my body or chances of getting pregnant in the future?

Hi,
Given your history of two abortions and one ovary, you should probably not go for another abortion as this may result in the tendency of the uterus to get irritable every time it holds a pregnancy. Though you have low grade changes in the cervix, observation is enough as many-a-time, such changes regress spontaneously. Repeat pap smear every six months would usually suffice. You would need active management if you have high grade lesions. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
