How Accurate Is A MRI With Contrast, Will It Show Any Nerve Damage,or Just Show Rotatercuff Problems Since Having Shoulder Pain Radiating To Arm?
Had a recent mri for shoulder pain that was going down to my arm and left side of my hand. the pain is worse at night and when I try to use my arm. How accurate is a mri with contrast, will it show any nerve damage,or just show rotatercuff problems. What is your experience with on the job shoulder injuries. I think everyone just wants me back to work to soon. I still have a lot of pain, have to take vicodin 3 time a day for pain, not to happy about that. What does a expert think.
I will advise you to MRI cervical spine for better diagnosis to see for nerve compression. MRI shoulder will give details of rotator cuff not spinal nerve.
Due to compression of nerve root there can be tingling numbness in your arm and pain.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started. Till time, avoid lifting weights. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief. I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
