Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
I am a qualified and certified cardiologist. I read your mail with diligence.
My feeling is something which lasts for less than a minute and nothing wrong in your has been found by doctors should make you happy not worried. I am curious from where you found that you are having cardiomyopathy? If you are obese and have chest pain that does not make you a patient of heart disease. How about joining some aerobic exercises classes with some dietary advice. Achieve a normal weight by no excess of fat or oil, no junk food, no junk thoughts and some exercise. Unless you have been a diagnosed case of cardiomyopathy by physicians exercise will do you no harm. And to answer your original question panik attacks do not last for less than a minute so your worry about these are unfounded. Good Luck.
Regards
