Hit Shinbone. Have Water Bump, Oozing. Reason For Bump?

I hit my shin bone on Friday and also went camping. On Saturday, I notied my shin had a little small water bump. Then on Sunday, the water bump was bigger and started to ozze a little. Today, Monday, it stopped ozzing. Should I be conerned with this? I m not sure if it had something to do with me hitting my shin or if something bit me camping? Ginger

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
If the bump is associated with any skin color changes then a hematoma is likely. You need to avoid infection in the area at all costs. Do a light dressing and get some antibiotics prescribed after an examination if the oozing continues.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
