HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The bump that you are feeling is as a result of scar tissue formation and remodelling of the skin in the area.
The use of ice at this time would not be helpful, this mainly helps in the acute stage.

The bump or lesion will get smaller as remodelling continues but may or may not completely resolve, it is difficult to predict if complete resolution will occur.

If after 2 to 3 months it is still significant then you want to speak to your doctor to consider your options.

I hope this helps

Hi thanks for your question.
The bump you are complaining of following head injury most could be haematoma (collection of blood under skin and muscle) .The haematoma will disappear of itself slowly with out any treatment unless get infected.Your main problem is pain, for which you can take analgesic anti inflammatory drugs(pain killer) like ibuprofen or paracetamol. These drugs besides reliving pain will also help in resolving haematoma.
Hope this answers your question.

Hello,
Thanks for posting you query.
Is usual to have a bump with pain when you hit your head hard, it may take more days to resolve depending on the severity of injury. Continue icing and take Naproxen or acetaminophen (Tylenol) to reduce pain and swelling. You may take Vitamin supplements containing vit C and zinc.
Relax! you will get well soon.
Take care!
