Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have had part of my thyroid removed. And when I get up in the morning it takes me forever it seems to get going. I take Synthroid. When I first get up in the morning. And I don't use the generic. I use the name brand. But I don't feel so good in the morning when I get up. I have had it suggested that I might need to have a sleep study for sleep apnea. Because I do snore according to my husband. But I had thyroid surgery back in 2006. And it has been one thing after another ever since. I was well and I would say in good health until then. I think it had something to do with my surgery because I came down with pneumonia afterward. And I haven't been well since. But they say my thyroid is normal and that it has to be something else. I have been told it could be autoimmune disease of some kind. I don't know if that is the exact word autoimmune or the right word. But you will know what I mean. I have other things wrong too. Like mitral valve prolapse and some more things. But I won't get into all of that. I am 62 years old. And I would just like to feel like myself again. To feel good. What is your opinion? I am sorry for my long letter. Thank you!
