Hello, I am having an elective knee surgery in two days and I believe I am getting over a cold or allergies are acting up. I'm not coughing up mucous and my nose isn't too stuffy but I feel that *sick* feeling in the back of my throat. I told the preoperative doctor but he didn't prescribe me anything when I told him about my problem. Will this cancel my surgery? I have to repair the patella as a piece fractured off when I dislocated it. It's been a month and the orthopedic surgeon is worried about keeping it the way it is for too long.
