Hello. I Am 23, 24 This Summer, 5'6", And 215lbs.

Hello. I am 23, 24 this summer, 5'6", and 215lbs. I went to a Dr. for irregular periods. They told me I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, and they took blood for a test. When the results came back, they told me that my "thyroid was low," whatever that means, and prescribed Levothyroxine. I've been taking 1 100mcg tablet a day, and I follow all the directions. Also, I'm in the process of trying to lose weight. I've been on a mediterranean diet for about 3 days now. I know that's not very long, but for someone who's been overweight her whole life, it's an achievement. Also, I've been more active lately as well, and have plans to keep up the activity. Here's the problem: I've been needing to... well, "poop" more frequently since all of this started happening; the medication and diet, all of it. Just today, as I was about to flush the toilet, I noticed blood on the toilet paper. I became concerned, and checked where it was coming from, and noticed it was from my butt... Anus, as it were. I'm wondering, is bloody poop a side effect from Levothyroxine, or could it be from something I'm eating? I've never had this problem before, and am worried. I have a lot of health problems as it is, and if this is something I can fix by NOT going to see a Dr. and add on the hospital/clinic bills, that would be great.
