Hello! Thank you for the query. As you have diverticles diagnosed I assume that you do have severe constipation. Along with other symptoms your large intestine should be investigated. Colon cancer should be ruled out at first. Especially if you do have blood in stool, have lost some weight recently. Sometimes such symptoms are caused by IBS due to severe bacterial infection. Thyroid disease, medicines (Ca-blockers, antidepressants), partial bowels obstruction due to Crohsn disease can also give such symptoms. I suggest you to visit gastroenterologist, have physical examination, stool tests, blood work, thyroid tests and colonoscopy performed.
