Heart Palpitations, Is There Any Risks ?

I am 16 been having palpertations for about one year now, it does not last long about 10 seconds, but I can have up too 6 in a day I had 12 once but it s rare, some times I go days without having them at all but It used to not bother me but I don t like it anymore, not sure what could be causing it, my grandma has a heart murmor wondered if I could have something similar? Any Ideas what could be causing it or what I could do about it? thank you No I m not on any tablets, only ibruphen once a month for period pain thats it. Thank you for advise I also have never smoked and vary rarely have caffine.

Have you been drinking a lot of caffeine or are you under a lot of stress, do you smoke? All these things can cause palpitations. Palpitations are nothing to worry about usually unless you have heart disease. Everyone has them but most don't even realize they are having them. They are not dangerous as long as they keep going away. If you are having a lot of caffeine, stress or smoke and you cut back on those things they should go away. Try to ignore them, they are not serious, just irritating.
