Heart Beat Was Not Heard And No Yolk Sac Was Found During An Ultrasound. Should I Be Worried?

I recently went to the er because im 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I started bleeding and cramping. I've passed small clots. They did an ultrasound and they didn't see a yolk sac nor did they hear a heart beat but the did see a sac. Should I be worried? My hcg count was 999.

Hello, Yes, there is reason to be worried. Sac is formed early but heart beat is usually seen by 6-7 weeks. Added to the bleeding, absence of fetal heart sound is cause to worry. Repeat the ultrasound in a week. With same results, there is a possibility that you may have miscarried.
