Headaches, Congestion, Sore Throat. On The Paragard IUD, Using Condoms. What Could This Mean?

Hi. I am on the paragard IUD since november.I've also been using condoms. I've been getting my period every 6 weeks and they have been lasting about 2 weeks. Then Monday I started getting dry blood, no cramps or anything, only 3 1/2 weeks after my last period started. I started getting sick (headache, congestion, sore throat) on saturday and am starting to feel better now. What could this mean?

Hello,
You are inserted with paragard IUD. Spotting or mild bleeding in between the menstrual cycle is common with this. Your sore throat, throat congestion, sickness and headaches are not the side effect of this (because it is non hormonal). It may be a different problem. Consult an ENT Dr to rule out throat infection. If there is treat it separately.
Best wishes
