Headache, fever, sore throat, swollen neck glands, tonsils, trouble swallowing, left ear pressure. Treatment?

I started in the evening with a headache and fever which by morning included a sore throat on one side with that sides neck gland raised. After a few hours I noticed that the tonsil on that side was larger than the other one (no noticeable spots) and have been having a lot of trouble swallowing . I can also feel a very slight pressure in my left ear. My right side feels normal.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Most sore throats are viral. They may or may not be associated with other symptoms of cough and cold.

You likely have a viral upper respiratory tract infection.

You can either use pain medication to help relieve the discomfort in the throat or throat sprays and gargles.
There are some gargles/sprays that combine pain killers with anti septics.

In addition, using enough fluids and rest would also be helpful.

The pressure in the ear is related to sinus or ear involvement in the viral illness. An anti histamine combined with decongestant would help

Hope you feel better soon
