Headache, Bloated Stomach, Vision Problems, Pain Under Ribcage, Diabetes. Advil Taken. Previous Gall Bladder, Ulcus Duodenum Problems. Advise?

Hi doctor, I am 59 yrs old male, had two episodes of serious headaches. first time I took Advils (about 6 in 4 hrs). I manage to sleep well and that was it...during the next days I noticed that my stomach is bloating and my vision is getting worse. I am a type two diabetic but live a healthy life. the second episode was two days ago..this time I refrained from taking the pain killer but it go so bad that i vomited 3 times...it lasted 12 hrs and then I fell asleep. I went to get an MRI...looks fine. my bloating is still a problem and i have this slight pain on my right under the ribcage. Because my mom had both ulcus duodenum (operated) and gall blader problems all her life I thought maybe that's the problem....
I used to have the same type of ulcer but had been cured with the triple antibiotics.... I was perfectly fine until my first headach episode.
Any thoughts?
Thanks George

hello

As you have said you are a patient of diabetes , complaining of new onset headaches, partially improved with advil, but had stomach, vomiting and vision problems with family history of duodenal ulcers

following are your plausible causes

Diabetics have stomach bloating and duodenal ulcers problems due to antibiabetic drugs + diabetes itslef known as diabetic autonomicpathy

Migraine has bimodal distribution that is one starting in teenagers other in 50-60 years, as your symptoms of headache with severe vomiting, blurred vision, stomach problems during the attack, diabetics are more prone to migraine.Advil gave you relief another point leading to migraine.

Cerebral venous thrombosis , meaning your vessel in brain have partial bloackage , again diabetics are more prone or this , you need an Mri with Mrv for that + eye specialist review to see inside your eyes

Hope this message solves your problem

Take care
