Headache, Abnormal Vision. Help

it started yesterday with a headache on the right side which lasted all morning. In the afternoon it was on the left side and was pretty severe. When I was watching television on the right side it was like I was looking into a kalidascope and they were half circles. This morning I had another episode where I could see the kalidoscope and a real bad headache on the left side above the eye. The headache comes and goes now and if I bend over forward it really throbs.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM

You have headache on right side which is severe in intensity, throbbing type behind eyes and it is associated with visual blurring. Episodic type of such headache usually points towards migraine. It is also associated with nausea and vomiting. I would advise you to consult a Psychiatrist for expert evaluation. Medicines like Amitryptilline, Triptans etc are very useful in such situations. Other medicines like Propranolol can be taken for prophylaxis of migraine.

Hope this helps you, thanks
