Hello
Welcome to HCM
You have been suffering from
depression and
anxiety and are currently on
Seroquel or qutiapine. The drug itself has some sedation and this should help you in sleeping. If you are not able to sleep properly then it must be either due to your problems of anxiety or due to improper
sleep hygiene. Sleep medicines usually work in such condition but they should be taken for short period only and they also cause rebound
insomnia so in sensitive persons they should not be prescribed. So we are left with option of improving sleep hygiene.
Try to fix your time to go to bed.
Don't take tea, coffee, alcohol in night.
Avoid watching TV from bed and in night.
Avoid any activity that result in activation of body in evening like reading or heavy exercise.
Warm water bath will also help in sleeping.
Try not to think about sleep again and again.
Try these methods and you will see improvement.
Thanks
