I was having painful muscles and a high CPK number and a high ACE number. I am usually very active but the doctor appointment I had took blood work and showed the results. I was referred to a Rhuemotologist and told me I had Sarcoidosis. This was 2004. A biopsis was taken in 2004 and it showed some myopic (sp) tissue. I was told that I will live in pain the rest of my life and started the snowballing of Vicodin 10-350, Morphine patches, tramadol, etc. So when I car hit me, my CPK went to 12,000 and was hospitalized. However, I had just gotten of the Vicodin on my on in 2012 and the Rhabdo put me back on Narcotics and another biopsy of my thigh. In 2012 I changed to a new network of doctors, which facility is the 5 th in the nation. I was told by 3 specialists and my GP I never had Sarcoidosis. I felt better coming off of the Narcotics. I take tramadol which does not control all the pain. The doctor said he would check my kidney and liver function every 3 months. However, he did not tell me my kidney started fail because of the high numbers. I called one of Specialist Physicians that I kept from the old network (Baylor) and told her that I never had Sarcoidosis. I had been on heavy narcotics for over 8 years. The word got back to the Rheumatologist and he called and apologized 3 times. I found out Sarcoidosis is not diagnosed on blood work alone. He did not other testing and labeled me with pain and doom. Now I see a chronic kidney disease specialist and the only reason my kidney has not failed is do to the high thyroid numbers. I wrote to the President of Baylor Hospital in Garland and never got a response. This was clearly malpractice and I have two scars too. I have keloid skin so both marks are scene on each of my thighs. On of my Specialist was visually upset when he saw the scars too. I may owe him $75 and will not pay it. I paid him for 8 years and he misdiagnosed me. Texas Pain and Suffering caps at $250,000 and I requested to be paid for the malpractice, still no reply. Attorneys do not lke to take malpractice cases because of the low payout. Years ago, Texas tort reform said that if the pay out is less, the medical expenses will go down significantly. A BIG LIE. I suffer everyday from fibro and rhabdo. Any other suggestions?
