Having Pain/itching On Ribs After Having Alcohol. On LIV 52. Treatment And Remedy

Hi, I am suffering from a little pain or its a itching sense on my right ribs just near or over the liver. I oftenly used to drink but for last 10 days i quit it completely. I am suffering from this problem for last 10 days and This pain is constant and at a place. I felt the pain and itching after having alcohol. I am having presently LIV 52 tablets and eating papaya and drinking sugarcane juice twice on a daily basis. I would request you to please suggest me the right treatment and course of remedy.

Thanks for the query.

Itch on skin just at the site of liver cannot be attributed to liver disorder.

Although generalised itch in body can be due to liver disorder.

Liv 52 wont be of much help to you.

Better get an ultrasound scan done.

This will tell you the exact pathology.

Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

I have gone through your history.

Your symptoms are suggestive of hepatitis. So you should consult your doctor/physician for detailed evaluation and management.

Doctor may ask you to go for blood investigations like Hemogram, liver function test or vitamin B12 deficiency or amonia level etc.

You should avoid alcohol at least till it subsides.

You should take a lot of water and carbohydrates.
