These kind of pain are atypical chest pain but as a precaution to do ECG to rule out cardiac cause that is angina. Anginal pain is just behind the sternum or breast bone heavyness or tightness may radiate to shulder or left upper limb classically on exertion or stress relievied by rest or taking nitroglycerine
In many patients gas or abdominal discomfort turns out to be cardiac. See other risk factor like Hypertension Diabetes High cholesterol Use of tobacco or Smoking or use of Alcohol.and Lack of physical activity.
over weight or obisity if any one out of these present try to control them.
Your Echo study if comes normal take a stress test also,OK
For your gas or Acidity problem drink good amount of water take your meals at regular interval with light diet. Include fresh fruits too.
If major issue go for a Upper G.I. endoscopy and a test for H Pylori and a treatment may be given by Physician.
