Having Noticed A Dent In Head , Headache & Pressure

My sister woke up with a dent in her head about six weeks ago, she has had it xrayed and they found nothing, but they won't scan, she is now having bad headaches and heavy pressure from her head, this worries me, shouldn't they do a scan, they say its stress, I think that is rubbish??

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your complain you have problem of headache there are many reasons behind it. Tension cause a tight band like headache. More intracranial pressure problem also cause headache. Lack of sleep and low blood sugar level also cause headache problem.

Mention if pain is one sided or on both sides. Also mention intensity and duration of pain with aggravating factor. Detail history and physical examination give exact idea. Do a CT scan and MRI for further diagnosis. Consult a neurologist for further information.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rachana Goswami
