Having Itching In The Lower Back Of My Neck. Prescribed Citrzine. Suggest Some Permanent Relief?
I am 77 years old male. About an year back the trouble started with intence itching in the lower back of my neck , on shoulders and on the upper part of my face and at the same time having a feeling of hotness onthese areas.This problem very accute during night time.When I consulted a doctor I was prescribed and was advised to take one tablet of citrzine. This will give me releaf for two days and after two days the symptoms of itching starts and again i take a tablet effect of which last for two days. Kindly advice me what I should do to get a permanent releafI

Hi,
You are having pruritus on nape , shoulders and face.
There is no other symptom.
It must be some irritation or allergy.
You take steroid in tappering dose for 2 to 4 weeks.
Take desloratidine 5 mg twice a week for 2 months.
Apply mild steroid cream .. Mometasone cream
Avoid sun exposure,
Avoid soap.
Avoid tension and stress.
Avid itch producing diet..banana, cows milk,brinjal,fermented food,chicken,prawns, fish, eggs, beverages...etc.
