Hi, Welcome to HCM.

The thyroid problem you have is, basically, a decrease in your thyroid gland function. Meaning the thyroid hormone is secreted less than normal in your case. This is the reason why you have been prescribed Eltroxin. Now, the function of our thyroid gland is tightly regulated via TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) such that if you have more thyroid hormone in the body then TSH secretion will be reduced which was probably in your case when you had started Eltroxin. In contrast if your thyroid hormone is lower, then the body will sense it and will increase the secretion of TSH.

Looks like you will need to get your Eltroxin titrated to a higher dose than what you have been taking. So I will advice you to consult your primary physician for the same.

Hope this helps.

hi..
you have hypothyriodism, and on eltroxin 25mg, but still your TSH levels are high..
see your endocrinologist for the titration (adjusting the dose) of eltroxin for the correction of thyriod levels..
wish you good luck..
