Hello

As you have said that your are 18 years old male , have diabetes type 1 and you will need insulin for that life long , check for any urine infections etc.Oral hypoglycemic agents like 50/500 will not be that helpful.

You are also hypothyroidism , antibodies causing diabetes and hypothyroidism are same , so if some one has DM type 1 then veryhigh chance he or she will develop hypothyroidism as well.

You need to take thyroxine life long as well .

Dont worry your life span will be normal if you adhere to medications.

Keep checking your hbaic for sugar 2 monthly and tsh monthly.

Take care
