General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for the query to H. C.M.
Here I would like to say that there is no relation between breast and appendix ( operated upon ) so first of remove any misconception about operation an d pus in nipple.
These two cases are different.
Pus in nipples ( one or both ) may be due to another reasons like an infection ( mastitis ) or due to pyoderma, breast abscess ( most common cause).
So please get in blood examination for C B C & E S R ( although non specific but I depend on this very much ), also for sugar.
Get in mammography to rule our any other possibilities.
Good luck. Dr. HET

General Surgeon Dr. M Y Shareef's  Response
Hi! It is good that you are interested in helping the lady. However, the symptoms you have posted for the lady are very much confusing. The site of surgery for appendix and the breast nipple are far away anatomically and I can not think of any relationship between the two.
In my view, the pus discharge from the breast nipple is a different entity altogether and it could be due to any kind of infection either acute or chronic. You have not mentioned whether she is married or not and if married if she has recently given birth to any baby who is lactating. If not, then it could be a chronic abscess with tuberculosis being one of the common infection specially in low socio economic status even though few other causes could be there.
I feel that she needs a screening mammogram followed by a FNAC/excisional biopsy of the pus discharging area and for this she has to be seen by a general surgeon. Hope this information will be of help to you and the lady.
