Have Paining Ear, Tender Scalp, Had Sinus Infection. Visit Doctor?

I have had a sinus infection for about three weeks that I cant seem to shake completely. I dont feel bad otherwise but yesterday I had some pain in one ear as well as a tender scalp on the same side as the ear ache. I would like to avoid antibiotics but maybe its time I gave in and went to see a doctor. What is your expert opinion?

Thanks,
