Have Painful, Sore, Red Bumps On Tongue And Mouth Roof. Feels Like Ulcer. What Could They Be?

Hi I am a 31 year old female. I don t smoke . I seem to have very sore red bumps down the left side side of my tongue at the back, and also the left side of the roof of my mouth. They feel sore like ulcers but don t look like ulcers. They were really painful during the night. Can anyone give me any ideas on what they could be. Many thanks Nikki
