Have Painful Lumps In Arm Pit. Popped It, Filled With Puss And Blood. Remedy?
Hi, I currently have two painfull red lumps in my arm pit. I had one that popped last week and was there for 5 days and when it popped it was full of yellow puss and blood. I had another one for two days that went away by itself and now have two more large ones one has been there 3 days and the other came up today. They are so painfull it hurts to touch and hurts to keep my arm down
From the information that you have provided it seems that you are sufferening from "Hidradenitis Suppurativa".
I would suggest that you consult your dermatologist as the treatment varies depending on the severity of the disease.
1.You might need a long course of oral antibiotics with NSAIDS. 2.If there are nodules which are not resolving then intralesional steriods have to be given.Oral steroids are also helpful. 3.If there are severe persistant deep lesions then you might need incision and drainage.
You will also have to get some blood investigations like the CBC,FBS,PPBS,Pus for culture and sensitivity if the lesions dont heal with the above treatment before you are prescribed other course of treatment.
Hope it helps
